Sometimes, when I am walking down the streets, I have a sense that I am dreaming. Things around me exist in the obscure space between familiarity and strangeness, and I am the observer tip-toeing at the edge of the veil. In dreams, places have no names. They hold features reminiscent to existing locations, but finding out about the match usually does not matter. Different scenes blend together, yet the details become more evident.

The following photos were all taken between 2019 and 2022, across multiple cities in China. The series was innitiated as a game of visual association, but it grew to resemble a dream space, of places devoid of identifications.
